The Award is open to all who will present their paper in the conference and will have • Relevance to Conference theme/subtheme or topic • Originality (e.g. contribution of new knowledge, practice or insight) • Significance of the work • Audience appeal • How they will contribute to the diversity of presentations at the conference • Demonstration of presentation ability (including facility with English language).
Best Innovative Paper Award
The Award is open to all who will present their paper in the conference and will have • Relevance to Conference theme/subtheme or topic • Originality (e.g. contribution of new knowledge, practice or insight) • Significance of the work • Audience appeal • How they will contribute to the diversity of presentations at the conference • Innovative idea of practical use which could be replicated • Demonstration of presentation ability (including facility with English language).
Emerging Water Professional Award
The Emerging Water Professional Award is an initiative of the River Water User Association India and has been established to recognize and foster those in the early stages of their careers in rivers. The award is open to all river and water professionals who have been working in their field for five years or less, and have demonstrated exceptional and measurable achievements in rivers, basins or river-dependent communities. A wide range of professionals contribute to the future of our rivers and this award is open to professionals of all disciplines – whether scientists, policy makers or on-ground river managers even to students. This important initiative identifies and rewards individuals in the early stages of their careers who have demonstrated innovation, excellence and leadership in river, basin or river-dependent community management. Whilst teams are essential in all facets of river management, this award focusses on individual achievements and contribution, rewarding dedication, innovation and leadership. If you feel that you have undertaken noteworthy work in this area, we encourage you to consider entering this prestigious Award and let your achievements and passion speak for themselves.Young Scientist Award 2018
The award is open to all river and water professionals who have been working in their field for ten years or more, and have demonstrated exceptional and measurable achievements in rivers, basins or water resource and water Management research. Their past work, experience and achievements in water sector should demonstrate their exceptional capabilities in water sector related to any discipline of art science or engineering and should show their concern regarding growing scarcity of water. This important initiative identifies and rewards individuals in the Middle stages of their careers who have demonstrated innovation, excellence and leadership in river, basin or river-dependent community management through use of variable technologies.
Youth Water Ambassador Award 2018
The award has been initiated with a view to encourage young Water Professionals doing water related activities, research, community awareness with an exceptional capability of leadership. They should have published articles, should have record of landmark initiatives for awareness generation and should have travelled other cities/states/countries with the purpose of water related activity. They should have also demonstrated their concern for growing water scarcity.
Basin Expert Award 2018
The award is offered for the Scientists, Academicians and community workers who are dedicated researcher or community workers in their own fields but are directly or indirectly involved with water. They should have conducted research work and community development work of national repute, related to water. Their work should reflect some innovative proposal for Basin Development.

Sapna Singh Memorial Award 2018
This award is given to scientist nominated by the council having at least a decade of experience in water related research or technology innovation. The awarded Scientist delivers a lecture in the National Conference hosted by RWUA(I).
